Join us for a bike ride and a screening on the streets of Skid Row
LA CAN and NOlympics LA – in conjunction with other members of the NOlympics coalition – will screen the following films produced during the lead up to the razing of various favela communities for the 2016 Rio Olympics:

The program will also feature statements from members of the coalition, from various Angelenos who remember the damage done in 1984 and can recognize the invitation to displace, gentrify, and militarize that the 2028 Olympics present as well.
The screening will follow a bike ride called Skidrowvia – led by LA CAN – which will meet at 4:30pm and leave at 5pm. The ride will hit various locations in the Downtown area – on both sides of the Dirty Divide – and will show the riders various other landmarks in the area’s gentrification.
You can come to either event – or both. Bring your own bike.
